L'Accademia Bartolomeo Cristofori, Amici del Fortepiano, in collaborazione col Maggio Musicale Fiorentino propone una serie di sette concerti su strumenti originali dedicati agli ultimi anni di Franz Schubert.

La Winterreise, ciclo di 24 Lieder sui testi di Wilhelm Müller, è universalmente considerata come una delle più toccanti e profonde esplorazioni della complessità del pensiero, delle speranze e del dolore dell’animo umano. Il viaggio è tra neve e paesaggi desolati, dove il viandante, der Wanderer, percorre una strada, metafora della umana avventura terrena, che si conclude con l’incontro con il vecchio suonatore di organetto, ovvero la fine del viaggio e della vita stessa.

STEFANO FIUZZI
Stefano Fiuzzi was born in Florence and graduated in Humanities and Musical Studies from the University of Florence. He also studied at the Music Conservatory Cherubini, where he is currently Principal Professor of Piano. He has held solo recitals and played with orchestras and chamber ensembles to great critical acclaim since the early 1970s. He has also recorded for CDs and radio, ranging from the 18th century to contemporary musical literature. He has held masterclasses and seminars worldwide and is regularly invited to participate in juries of the most prestigious Italian and International Piano Competitions. Stefano is the founder and Artistic Director of the Accademia Bartolomeo Cristofori, Amici del Fortepiano in Florence, which was awarded the prestigious Abbiati Prize (the Music Critics’ prize) in 1993. He currently teaches Fortepiano and Historical Performance Practice at the Accademia Pianistica Internazionale in Imola.

MARCELLO NARDIS
Having started his musical experience with the study of the flute and composition, he earned diplomas in piano at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome, singing at the Conservatorio San Pietro a Majella in Naples and vocal chamber music at the Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini in Florence. He continued in parallel with a liberal arts education and graduated with honors in both Ancient Greek and in Christian Archaeology and Musicology. He also studied at F. Liszt Hochschule in Weimar (in the class of Peter Schreier) and at the Mozarteum in Salzburg (in the singing class of Kurt Widmer). Already a recognized pianist, he made his debut as a tenor singing in 2003 for Pope John Paul II on the occasion of World Youth Day (Canada). He worked with international artists such as: Bonnet, Casado, Chung, Inbal, Muti, Pešek, Renzetti, Rousset, Sardelli, Savall, Severini, Shambadal, Soudant, Steinberg, Tebar, Villaume, Zagrosek, Badura-Skoda, Kern, Mees, Shetler, Bacchetti, Ballista, Campanella, Canino, Ciccolini, De Fusco, etc. and appeared at institutions such as the Teatro alla Scala,
Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Teatro La Fenice, Teatro di San Carlo, Bellini, Regio, Teatro Verdi, the Teatro Comunale, Fondazione A. Toscanini, Accademi Filarmonica Romana, Accademia Chigiana, Liceu in Barcelona, the New National Theatre Tokyo, Auditorium P. Uribe of Asuncion, Teatro del Opera de Lima, Opera of Hanoi, Salzburg Festival, Ravenna Festival, Ravello Festival, Festival della Valle d' Itria, Festival dei due Mondi and Teatro Sperimentale di Spoleto , Festival Dino Ciani, Oxford Lieder Festival, W. Kempff Foundation, Mozarteum of Salzburg, Festival of Music and Sacred Arts (with the Vienna Philharmonic Quartet), Smetana Hall in Prague, Geburtshaus Schubert and Beethoven Saal in Vienna, Stadthalle Bayreuth, Carnegie Hall of New York and all major Italian concert societies. As an internationally recognized lieder singer of the new generation, he is also an honorary member of the International Schubert Society of New York, and has, only in Italy, appeared in more than 80 public performances of Schubert's "Winterreise", sometimes simultaneously as pianist and singer.
