New Year's eve concert

A monument to Brotherhood and Freedom to welcome the New Year on the notes of one of the most famous works ever: Symphony no. 9 by Ludwig van Beethoven. In a grand musical architecture, everything that had been written before is overwhelmed, annihilated and sublimated by the revolutionary explosion of the final Ode to Joy. An uninterrupted success since the first performance in Vienna on 7 May 1824 greeted not by applause, as the completely deaf composer could not hear them, but by the waving of hundreds of white handkerchiefs.

At 9:30 pm there will be a Gala dinner in the Foyer of the Opera di Firenze, that will last to cheer the midnight.
