Jin Ju

Jin Ju, awarded in 2012 with the prestigious Echo Klassik for the album Beethoven, Czerny, Schubert, returns to revive on the precious keys of a period instrument the last three sonatas for piano composed between 1819 and 1822 by Ludwig van Beethoven, masterpieces of technique, expression and perhaps, mysticism.

JIN JU

Born in Shanghai, she studied piano at the Central Conservatory of Beijing and the Accademia Chigiana of Siena.  Winner of the China National Piano Competition, of the Beethoven Society Competiton, the Unisa International Piano Competition and the International Piano Competition Theodor Leschetisky., she was also a prize at the winner Tchaikovsky International Competition and the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition. She has performed in important concert halls such as the Konzerhaus of Berlin and Vienna and the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory.  In 2008 the Chinese state television CCTV made a documentary about her and the next year her concert at the Sala Nervi at the Vatican for Pope Benedict XVI, in which she played seven different antique pianos, was transmitted in world vision.
