Daniel Oren conducts Giuseppe Albanese in the piano concert no. 1 in B flat Op.23 by Pëtr Il'ič Čajkovskij, the most famous Russian composer and one of the most performed piano concerts around the world. DANIEL OREN

He was born in Tel Aviv in 1955 and began his artistic training by studying singing, harmony, counterpoint and piano. Just thirteen years old he performed for the first time in public, as a soloist in the Chichester Psalms by Leonard Bernstein invited by the same author. In 1975 he won the Herbert von Karajan Competition for young conductors and thus began his international career. It is often at the head of the orchestra in the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Royal Opera in London, the Vienna State Opera, the Paris Opera, the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. Music director of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, of Teatro Verdi in Trieste, the San Carlo in Naples and the Carlo Felice in Genoa, since 2007 he is artistic director of the Teatro Municipale Giuseppe Verdi in Salerno.




GIUSEPPE ALBANESE

He was born in Reggio Calabria in 1979 and at five years began studying piano. After graduating with full marks honors and honorable mention at the Conservatorio Gioachino Rossini in Pesaro in 1996, perfects his formation at the International Piano Academy of Imola, earning the honorary title of Master. At twenty-three, also, he graduated with honors and dignity of press in Philosophy at the University of Messina, with a thesis on the aesthetics of Franz Liszt. Under the direction of conductors such as Jeffrey Tate, James Conlon, Nicola Luisotti and Alain Lombard, performs in such institutions as the Metropolitan Museum in New York, Berlin Konzerthaus, Mozarteum in Salzburg. After releasing albums dedicated to Debussy and Bartok, in 2014 records Fantasia for Deutsche Grammophon with pieces by Beethoven, Schubert and Schumann.
