A story of love between hypocrisy and blackmail, two weddings that stand on compromise and on the conventions of caste, intertwined in a complex, almost incestuous way. A strange "extended family ", aristocratic and decadent, facing the new century. At the center of the plot the precious golden bowl of the title in perfect appearance but with a very small, almost invisible defect, like the lives of four unsuspecting protagonists.
