Salvatore Sciarrino: Portrait

Contempoartensemble

Salvatore Sciarrino is one of the greatest living Italian composers: the concert dedicated to him opens with two Italian premieres, Gesualdo senza parole, inspired by the madrigal composer Gesualdo da Venosa, and Le stagioni artificiali, to continue then with Aspern Suite, a 1979 composition which is a musical exercise of traditional texts and parts of Mozart librettos by Lorenzo Da Ponte.
