NARUHIKO KAWAGUCHI
Naruhiko Kawaguchi was born in Morioka, the capital of Iwate prefecture, and grew up in Yokohama, Japan. He holds a Bachelor's degree in musicology from the Tokyo University of the Arts (Tokyo-Geidai) as well as a Master's degree in Early Music from the same university, where he won the Acanthus Prize in 2015. He has studied fortepiano with Kikuko Ogura and Christine Schornsheim, harpsichord with Asami Hirosawa, and modern piano with Seizo Azuma. He is currently a Master's student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, studying fortepiano with Richard Egarr and clavichord with Menno van Delft. He has performed fortepiano recitals in Amsterdam, Rome, Firenze, Palma, and Saluzzo as well as the prestigious Wunderkammer of Trieste (Italy) in 2013. He is also active in ensemble playing with singers and various instrumentalists.
