She was born in Lisbon and at seven years, under the direction of Ino Salvini, she gave his first public concert in Porto. She studied at the Conservatory of Lisbon with Campos Coelho and Francine Benoit, then in Munich with Rosl Schmid and in Hanover with Karl Engel. In 1970, by winning the Brussels International Beethoven Competition, she began her international career: under the direction of personalities such as Claudio Abbado, John Eliot Gardiner and André Previn, she plays with the Berlin Philharmonic, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra , London Philharmonic, Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. Her discography includes numerous recordings, first for the Erato label and then for Deutsche Grammophon, with whom she has an exclusive contract since 1989.
Julien Brocal
He began studying piano at five years, making his debut two years later at the Salle Cortot in Paris. He studied with Erich Berchot at the Conservatoire National de Région de Marseille and Rena Shereshevskaya Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot. In 2013 he was invited by Maria João Pires as a resident artist at the music Chapelle Reine Élisabeth of Waterloo and the following year he took part as soloist in the founding of Partitura, a project aimed at encouraging interaction between musicians of different generations.
