L'Arlésienne by Bizet

A love corroded by jealousy, which turns into obsession and cannot escape a tragic end. The music of Georges Bizet, charged with all gaudy colors of Provence, joins the drama of Alphonse Daudet, represented for the first time at the Theatre de Vaudeville in Paris in October 1872 to tell the sad story of the young Frédéri, divided in love between the sweet and sensual Vivette and Arlésienne.
