Season 2015/16
Concert

Federico Maria Sardelli

A valuable insight into the musical culture of the second half of the eighteenth century: a journey through the German classicism that, under the guidance of Federico Maria Sardelli, starts from two illustrious sons of Johann Sebastian Bach: the first-born Wilhelm Friedemann, the most famous organist in Germany during his lifetime, and Carl Philipp Emanuel, fundamental reference for the formation of numerous musicians. Among them a sixteen year old Mozart who in 1771 composed a joyful Symphony no. 9, and Franz Joseph Haydn who in 1768, when he was deputy Kapellmeister at the court of Prince Paul Anton Esterházy, composed his Symphony no. 49, which an unknown hand wrote on the autograph score, in Italian, the subtitle "La Passione".
