The Ensemble intercontemporain pays tribute to its founder Pierre Boulez, a year on from his death. The memory of the great French conductor and composer is entrusted to Sur Incises, composed on the occasion of the 90th birthday of Paul Sacher: a piece in two movements (“Moment I” and “Moment II”) with three pianos, three harps and three sets of percussion, in which the sonority of the various instruments come together in what Boulez himself defined as “organised delirium”.
