Choir of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino

Baroque sacred music for choir and organ: the evening's program begins with the Vere languores by Francesco Feroci, a Florentine organist and composer of the 1700s, continuing with the Pentecostal music of the Neapolitan, Niccolò Jommelli. The secular madrigals of Claudio Monteverdi's precede the Missa breve by Domenico Scarlatti, a High Mass composed with only the Kyrie,GloriaCredo and Agnus Dei.
